How to leave group text on android
Method 1: Mute notifications from group text
This is an easy way to leave group text on android. The first step is to mute the unwanted text group notifications so you don't get interrupted every time a new message arrives.
To be honest, the notifications are annoying, not the group text itself.
1. Open your messaging app.
Open your SMS messaging app and open the group message you want to mute.
2. Go to Menu and press Group Details.
Tap the Menu button (three dots) and tap Group Details.
3. Find Notifications and turn it off.
Tap the notification area and toggle the Allow Notifications switch off.
Note: Just to be clear, this will hide the actual group text, but will mute incoming notifications.
Method 2: Block the group text.
Group text block is another effective way to leave group messages on Android. Most mobile phones also allow you to block certain senders through Messenger settings.
1. Open the SMS app and select the group text.
Open your default SMS app and find the group text you want to delete.
2. Block a sender
This method varies by phone, but on most phones you can block a sender from there by long-pressing on the message itself. After that, all messages from the sender will be blocked by your phone's messaging app.
3. Delete group messages
In most cases, blocking a sender also hides group messages. However, if that didn't work, you can simply delete the message from your SMS app.
You will no longer be bothered by senders unless you unblock them in your message settings.
Receiving unwanted text messages is always annoying, whether you want to miss group text messages or just the senders who keep spamming and annoying you. However, there is a workaround that can always prevent such problems from occurring in the future.
Do not give your number to anyone who does not benefit from it. Please note that your phone number is also part of your personal data. Giving this to a random person could bring you a bad experience. For example, say you're constantly receiving a flood of messages from people you don't know.
