Get Google Assistant on any phone

tips to get Google Assistant on any phone

Google Assistant, a very smart and intelligent personal assistant, was officially launched alongside Pixel smartphones. And since then, he has won the hearts of many with his playful banter. From finding directions to finding lyrics to your favorite songs, there are so many things you can do. The good news is that you can now easily get it with a few simple tweaks, so here's how to get Google Assistant on any phone.

So, without further ado, let's quickly go through the settings to get your very own smart assistant.

Preconditions

  • Android version must be Marshmallow or higher.

#one. Register

The first step is to log into Google Services, more specifically, as a beta tester. All you have to do is open the Google App in the Play Store, scroll down to the middle of the page and tap the Me icon in the button on the beta tester

If you are already a beta tester, proceed to the next step.

The beta version is activated in 10-15 minutes. Once complete, go to the Play Store again and update the Google app.

That's it, you are now a beta tester. Simple enough, right?

#two. Become a beta tester (again)

The second step is to sign up for the beta program (again) for Google Play Services . Play Services are quite cryptic in their forms as you cannot find them in the Play Store (obviously). Google search helps with this. Go to the app, search for Google Play services and click on the icon.

Same exercise here, wait for beta tester confirmation and then update the app.

Now that you've become a beta tester, there comes a stage where you train the assistant to recognize your voice.

No. 3. train deputy

You will now see a couple of new settings for the assistant appear on the Google app settings page. The "train helper" part is hidden under the "Customize settings" field in the "Ok Google" detection window.

As with Google Now, you'll have to start repeating Ok Google a couple of times. Depending on the type of help you need, you can also select it even when the screen is off or you are using another application. For best results, toggle the screen context switcher and say “Ok Google” anytime, anywhere to turn it on.

Congratulations, the app is set up and ready to take your orders. Now the question is ... which commands?

What commands will the master perform?

Most of you must already know about a lot of things that Google Assistant can do. Among other things, you can play songs, check flight status, save reminders, and even send messages on your behalf.

But what good is an assistant if he can't get the daily news? Don't worry, it not only brings news, but also replays it for you.

However, for it to work well, you first need to set your preferences in the settings and arrange the channels to your liking. And before you know it, the deputy will sing it like a parrot.

There are many hidden wonders in this app, and I'll leave the rest for you to explore. And the more you use it, the better it comes. And trust me when I say that it can really work wonders and get the job done in no time, with the added benefit of not requiring hands.
